Synopsis: In Istanbul, a day on the brink of a nationwide blackout unfolds with four characters: a mother whose son is in prison, a young woman devoted to dancing, an activist and artist, and a wily middleman, all in a neighborhood in the midst of the process of gentrification toward the „New Turkey.“ Their paths cross over the course of the day until a drug-dealing incident, and a stirring story of today’s generations unfolds.

In Istanbul entfaltet sich ein Tag am Rande eines landesweiten Stromausfalls mit vier Charakteren: eine Mutter, deren Sohn im Gefängnis sitzt, eine junge Frau, die sich dem Tanzen verschrieben hat, eine Aktivistin und Künstlerin sowie ein gerissener Mittelsmann, alle in einem Viertel, das sich mitten im Prozess der Gentrifizierung in Richtung „Neue Türkei“ befindet. Ihre Wege kreuzen sich im Laufe des Tages bis zu einem Zwischenfall bei einem Drogendeal und es entfaltet sich eine mitreißende Geschichte der heutigen Generationen.
