Synopsis: Yusuf and his best friend Memo are Kurdish pupils at a boarding school secluded in the Anatolian mountains. When Memo falls ill, Yusuf is forced to struggle through the bureaucratic obstacles put up by the school’s repressive authorities to try to help him. When the adults finally understand the seriousness of Memo’s condition and try to get him to the hospital, the school is cut off from the world by a heavy snowfall.

Yusuf und sein bester Freund Memo sind kurdische Schüler in einem abgelegenen Internat in den anatolischen Bergen. Als Memo erkrankt, ist Yusuf gezwungen, sich durch die bürokratischen Hindernisse der repressiven Schulbehörden zu kämpfen, um ihm zu helfen. Als die Erwachsenen schließlich den Ernst von Memos Zustand erkennen und versuchen, ihn ins Krankenhaus zu bringen, wird die Schule durch einen starken Schneefall von der Außenwelt abgeschnitten.
